Tears in the Rain

This is a very "high school" story, which can often be a source of embarassment. But, since I only have a few of that kind of story, sourced from those four interminable years, embarassment isn't what fills me when I think of it. I consider it an opportunity to remember, to dip my toes into the past. That's why I enjoy the story (the prose, admittedly, is neither novel nor interesting) and because it gives me a chance to see how much my writing has grown since those stressful years.

At the time, I was going through the longest period of writer's block I've ever had the misfortune of trudging through, and a story about isolation—about floating aimless, about waiting for the End—felt like the natural thing to write.
